1A.1. Introduction.-

A few observations about the history of the Act and its main features may now be appropriate. We shall, for this purpose, take a general view of the compensation law. We shall then examine the sources of this branch of the law, and its significant features. Sometimes, reference will be made to legislation in other common law jurisdictions.
