All the Judges and Addl. Registrar who responded to the issue have agreed to the proposal.

One State Government replied in negative and another in the affirmative. Both the Advocates supported the issue.

Four police officers are of the view that the provisions of section 383, Indian Penal Code read with section 44, I.P.C. cover this crime. The punishment provided under this section needs to be enhanced.

One police officer replied in the affirmative. Others who responded to the letter are silent on the issue.
