14. Some guidelines in Orders-in-Council regarding appeals to Judicial Committee.-
It would, however, be of interest to note that the Orders-in-Council issued to regulate appeals to the Judicial Committee from many of the Colonies, after providing for appeal as of right from a final judgment of the highest court of the Colony in cases where the matter in dispute on appeal amounted to or was of the value of the specified sum or upward or where the appeal involved, directly or indirectly, some claim or question to or especting property or some civil right amounting to or of the specified value or upward, dealt with appeal at the discretion of the highest court of the Colony in a formula covering questions of wide public or private1 importance.
