3. Suggestions of Governments of West Bengal and Madras.-
In 1952, at the instance of the Government of West Bengal, the then Administrator-General and Official Trustee of West Bengal made a study of the Official Trustees Act and submitted a list of suggestions to be considered in the course of the revision of the Act. These suggestions were sent to the Central Government, which circulated the same among the various State Governments for their comments. The Government of Madras in its reply made certain additional suggestions and these were also communicated to the various States for their comments. These suggestions and the comments are considered below.
