7. Public Wakfs (Extension of Limitation) Act, Act 29 of 1959

Recommendation: Repeal

The Act extended the period of limitation in certain cases for suits to recover possession of immovable property forming part of public wakfs. The period of limitation for the suits to recover possession was extended up to 31st December 1985. The Act has clearly served its purpose and should be repealed.
