Recommendation: Repeal
This Act was enacted to repeal the Parliamentary Proceedings (Protection of Publication) Act, 1956. The 1956 Act has been repealed and hence, the repealing Act of 1976 has served its purpose. It is now redundant. A newer law on this subject, the Parliamentary Proceedings (Protection of Publication) Act, 1977 is now in force.
