In Montana doctors are not prohibited from carrying out executions according to the statute, "An execution carried out by lethal injection must be performed by person selected by warden and trained to administer the injection. The person administering the injection need not be physician, registered nurse, or licensed practical nurse or registered under the laws of this or any other state.
