7.5. Importance of dispassionate approach in India.-
We are aware of the fact that in the United States, the United Kingdom and some other countries, persons who were active in political life and were appointed judges, distinguished themselves on the Bench. Taking into account the conditions as they are in India and the importance that we attach to independence and dispassionate approach of the judges and the role which the Constitution has assigned to the court, we consider it necessary to insist upon the above safeguard.
