162. Article 149.-

Article 149 relates to suits by or on behalf of the Government. The period is 60 years from the time when the period of limitation would begin to run in a like suit by a private person. We recommend that that period may be reduced to 30 years as under the English law. This will bring the period in accord with that prescribed for local authorities under Article 146A.
