4. Directive Principle as to public assistance.-

Under the Constitution,1 "The State shall within the limits of its economic capacity and development, make effective provision for securing the right to public assistance in cases of unemployment, old age, sickness and disablement, and in other cases of undeserved want." It may not be inappropriate to extend the principle underlying this article to the subject-matter of the present inquiry.
