Law Commission's Draft Of The Indian Penal Code (Amendment) Bill, 1971

1. Short title and commencement.-

(1) This Act may be called the Indian Penal Code (Amendment) Act, 1971.

(2) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, specify in this behalf.

2. Omission of section 2.-

Section 2 of the Indian Penal Code (hereinafter referred to as "the Code") shall be omitted.
