2. Scope of the Reports.-

The suggestion referred to above1 also contemplated that a similar amendment may be considered in respect of officers of the Mint. These officers are mentioned in section 510, but their report, though admissible, is not conclusive. It was therefore proposed that their reports may also be made conclusive in the manner stated above.2

Since the problem relating to stamp and currency notes presents common features, it will be proper to treat reports of officers of the Mint on the same footing as those of officers of the India Security Press.
