6.10. Effect on flow of news.-
It would be of interest to ascertain whether the absence or presence of protection has affected the flow of news. It appears that there is no substantial difference as to the flow of news in these States which have 'shield' laws and those which do not.1 This may be because a number of these laws give only a qualified privilege.2
