5.10. Position with reference to different types of transfers.-

A study of the various statutory provisions relevant to the subject will show that the position with reference to the different kinds of transfer may vary according as the transfer is-

(1) to a wife or child1 (on the one hand) or to a person other than a wife or child;

(2) for consideration or without consideration;

(3) with the intention to transfer title or without such intention, and

(4) for an honest purpose or to commit fraud.
