The Architects Act, 1972.

39.Cognizance of offences.-

(1) No Court shall take cognizance of any offence punishable under this Act, except upon complaint made by order of the Council or a person authorized in this behalf by the Council.

(2) No Magistrate other than a Presidency Magistrate or a Magistrate of the first class shall try and offence punishable under this Act.
