1.Short title and commencement.-

(1) This Act may be called the All India Council for Technical Education Act, 1987.

(2) It shall come into force on such date { 28-3-1988 Vide Notification No.S.O.317 (E), dated 28.3.1988} as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
