Teerthanker Mahaveer University has been established by the Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Uttar Pradesh Act 2008 (Act No. 30 of 2008) as a Jain minority teaching university with a mandate to create and disseminate knowledge in areas of higher education. University’s endeavour is to impart knowledge and develop critical skills necessary to succeed both in professional and personal life by promoting learning supported by world-class faculty, infrastructure, technology, curricula and also collaborative teaching and research with premier institutions in India and abroad. Teerthanker Mahaveer University decided to establish College of Law and Legal Studies to evolve and impart comprehensive legal education and promote research in all branches of law. College aims to develop a cadre of law professionals who have sound understanding of the dynamics of law profession and have the passion to serve the society with high moral and ethical values. The course curriculum is flexible, credit based and offers numerous fields of specialization. The pedagogy used, will involve classroom teaching, case study, experiential learning through moot court, externship, guest lectures, seminars, workshops and legal camps. College has excellent infrastructural facilities like well qualified staff, separate law college library, computer lab, moot court room and conference hall.
