A candidate should have passed Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) or equivalent examination recognized by The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University,Chennai and should have secured not less than 70% of the total marks in the aggregate of all the subjects.
The candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe communities should have secured not less than 60% of the total marks in the aggregate of all subjects.
Applicants who have obtained H.S.C. directly without having any basic qualification are not eligible for admission to law courses.
A candidate should not have completed 20 years of age as on 1st June.

Course Description:
BA BL is also offerd by the college: A student has to earn 80% of attendance in each semester to take the examination.
Where a student earns 75% and above but below 80% of attendance, the academic committee may recommend condonation of attendance for genuine reasons. If a student fails to earn 75% attendance, he/she will not be eligible to take the semester examination and he/she must redo the entire semester.
Duration of the course is for a period of five academic years. Each academic year is divided into 2 semesters and each semester consists of 90 working days. On successful completion of the course, B.A.,B.L., (Hons.) Degree will be awarded.

(Hons.) Degree Course, for candidates with Science or Medical background and Technological background in the year 2008.
