Any discussion of the Rajasthan's Education system & culture today is incomplete, in fact, meaningless without a mention of the Nehru Memorial Post Graduation College. If one looks back over the years, one becomes aware of the immeasurable role this pioneering institution has played in the cultural, political, social life and historical background of Rajasthan.
Today one cannot help but relive all those memorable moments, which contributed in making this institution, the most distinguished college in Rajasthan. The foundation stone was laid by Hon'ble Jagjivan Ram Ji, former Food Minister, Govt. of India & Hon'bleMohan Lal Sukhadia, former Chief Minister of Rajasthan on 4th July 1966.
The institute is running by Rashtriya Shikshan Sansthan Samiti, Hanumangarh. Presently being run under an administrator appointed by the State Govt.The Nehru Memorial PG College is affiliated with the Bikaner University. The numerical strength of the College is around 1800 students in various streams of Graduation & Post Graduation.
With a successfully running P.G. College, it had started its separate premises for Faculty of Law in July 1980 and Faculty of Pharmacy in July 1984, both running as independent institutions. Along with this college is running study center of distance learning of Vardhman Mahaveer University, Kota w.e.f July 2002.
