Karmveer Dr. Mamasaheb Jagadale was the founder of Shri Shivaji Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Barsi. The Mandal has grown into a cluster of institutions at a fantastic speed in amazingly short period under the dynamic leadership of Karmaveer Dr. Mamasaheb Jagadale.
After serving day and night for almost two decades, Karmaveer Mamasaheb realized the urgent need of qualified and trained professional law graduates to combat against social evils and problems faced by rural people.
The main aim was to provide high quality legal education to the needy and the rural poor people. Hence, he established Rajarshi Shahu Law College in June 1972 Initially, it is affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur & now it is affiliated to Solapur University, Solapur.
At the outset, the college was running LL.B.-Three Years Degree Course and B.A.LL.B.- Five Years Degree Course very successfully.After serving thirty-two years in the field of legal education, the institution has been accredited C+ by the NAAC, Bangalore in 2004.
