Satpura Law College was established by the Satpura Education Society, Chhindwara, in the year 1961.
The Motherhood instution of the College, i.e. Satpura Education Society is performing all the functions as per the rules and regulations of Department of Higher Education, Bhopal, (M.P.),Dr. Hari Singh Gour Vishwavidyalaya Sagar (M.P.), Bar Council of India, New Delhi and UGC, New Delhi.
The college is performing all the acitivities under the guidance of the Society. In March 31, 2007 the NAAC (National Accreditation and Assessment Council) team, Bangalore inspected the college and awarded "B+" Grade to the college.
