SLCU is approved by the Bar Council of India to conduct the five year B.A., LL.B. Christ University, formerly Christ College had the rare distinction of being the first institution in Karnataka to be accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), UGC and reaccredited with an A+ in 2005 for quality educationcourse.
The curriculum for the BA.,LLB[5] course is a mix of social science subjects and legal subjects. In the first two years, students are taught History, Political Science, Sociology and Economics along with valueadded courses such as Introduction to Law and Legal Methods.
After the first two years, it is mostly legal subjects that constitute the curriculum. Candidates who have passed their 10+2 examination or its equivalent with a minimum of 45% marks at the final examination are eligible to appear for the entrance examination.[4]
The candidates should also be below the age of 21 years as on 1 April of the year for which they are seeking admission.
