Sagar Gangotri College of Law established in the year 1996. The Sagar Gangotri College of Law which is managed by the Sri Sigandooreshwari Educational Trust, Sagar is affiliated to the Kuvempu University.

The Bar Council of India, New Delhi, the Statutory Body responsible for the Regulation of Legal Education & Profession has granted Recognition & Affiliation certificate to Sagar Gangotri college of Law. Government of Karnataka has granted permission to run 3 years & 5 years Law Degree Course to the Sri Sigandooreshwari Educational Trust®, Sagar.

1. BA LLB

The five year Law course shall comprise of two parts. Part-1 shall comprise pre-law study spreading over. 1,2,3,4 Semesters. Part 2 shall comprise Professional training in law spreading over 5,6,7,8,9 and 10 semesters.

Later Entry is permitted to Part-2 of the Five Years Law Degree (Semesters) Course to a candidate who is a Graduate of a University established under law & have secured a minimum of 45% of marks in said Degree.

A candidate who secured below 45% and above 40% in the concerned examinations. They have to take entrance exam conducted by the Kuvempu University.

2. LLB

The three year law course shall comprise professionals training in law spreading over 1,2,3,4,5 and 6 semesters.Each semester of Five year course & three year course shall consist of sixteen weeks of instructions.
