Raja Lakhamgouda Law College, Belgaum is one of the oldest Indian Law Colleges and a premier institution of legal education of South India. It was established in the year 1939 by Karnatak Law Society, Belgaum as a part of its solemn resolve to impart legal education in this part of the country. The college is named after Raja Lakhamgouda Sirdesai, its benevolent mentor and donor and head of the erstwhile princely State of Vantamuri.
