S. A. Manvi Law College is a premier institution imparting education in the Faculty of Law in this part of Karnataka, has started by the prestigious K.L.E. Society as an evening college to cater to the needs of the people of this area.
The college is situated in the semi urban place and is useful for the students most of whom are coming from the rural area. It is the only Law College in the entire district of Gadag. The inaugural function of the college was taken place on 15th August 1974 by Mr. Nataraj Murthy, Honorable Civil Judge, Gadag.
The college got the affiliation from Karnatak University, Dharwad from the academic year 1974-1975. The college has fulfilled the conditions imposed by the University from time to time. The results of which the permanent affiliation that the college enjoyed from 1994-95 in respect of Three-year Law Course.
The college has the credit of being listed in U.G.C. under sections 2(f) and 12 (b) of U.G.C. Act and receiving grants from the U.G.C. under its schemes. The college has been approved by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi. The college has been accredited at ‘B’ level by NAAC in November 2004.
