      Pragathi Vidya Samsthe(R) was established in the year 1984-85 and registered under Karnataka State Society Act under the name and style of Indira Priyadarshini College of law by our Founder and Hon'ble Secretary Sri Halli Hanumanthappa, B.Sc., B.A.L., L.L.B., In the beginning, Government of Karnataka sanctioned permission to start 3 years Law Course (Day College) in the year 1994-95.

The College was granted affiliation by Bangalore University and approved by Bar Council of India, New Delhi. During the year 1997-98, 5 years Integrated Law Course (Day College) was granted affiliation by Bangalore University and approved by Bar Council of India, New Delhi.

The College also gives preference admission to SC/ST and BC's minorities and economically backward students.
