The Hidayatullah National Law University, established by the Government of Chattisgarh in 2003, is a Residential University maintained by the University Grants Commission and is sixth in the series of National Law Schools in India. It has its branches in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Bhopal, Kolkata and Jodhpur. From the day of its establishment, the University has strived to attain excellence in Legal education. The teaching methodology is such that it develops among the students a sense of responsibility to serve the society in the field of law by developing skills in regard to advocacy, judicial and legal services, legislation, law reforms and so on. The students are prepared and trained to become lawyers of national and international repute with high moral and ethical values. The State of Chattisgarh has opened the doors of opportunities to the aspiring young generation of Law Students on similar lines as National Law Schools in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Bhopal, Kolkata and Jodhpur. HNLU is endeavouring to emerge as a University of great repute.
