The HIMCAPES' College of Law is the first professional school started under the aegis of the H.P. State Co-operative Advancement of Professional Education Society .The HlMCAPES' College of Law has been allotted 80 seats by the H.P. University and the Bar Council of India.
The HIMCAPES' College of Law has been functioning since academic session 2006-07. The school is situated at Balhera, Una in one of the most picturesque and ecologically superior part of Una. The campus spreading over 70 kanals is being developed in phased manner. In order to expose the students to practical aspects of law, regular visits to Supreme Court, High Court, consumer forums, labour revenue courts, lok adalats, etc. has been made an essential part of day-to-day curriculum.
A Moot Court has been set up to aequaint the students with the procedural and functional behaviour of law. The School has established a Legal Aid Center for providing free help and guidance to needy persons. The College of Law endevours to impart legal literacy among the masses through orgzanizing legal aid camps and inculcate a sense of discipline, personal character, responsibility, ethical and moral values and a spirit of national integration in the students to serve the country.
