Bharata Mata School of Legal Studies (BSOLS) is a centre of excellence in legal education affiliated to MG University and approved by Bar Council of India, New Delhi. BSOLS believes that all students have the drive for excellence. Focus is on interactive learning through case studies, group discussions, seminars, debates, role plays, live projects, moot courts and other related activities. Candidates who have passed the LL.B. examination (5 year / 3-year course) with a minimum of 50% marks from the universities in Kerala or other universities recognised by the universities in Kerala as equivalent thereto are eligible for admission to the LL.M. course. No rounding off of percentage of marks to the nearest higher integer is permitted.
Candidates appearing / appeared for the regular final year LL.B. examination can also apply for the entrance examination. Such candidates become eligible for admission only if they produce the Provisional / Degree Certificate of the qualifying examination and the mark lists of all parts of the qualifying examination at the time of Centralised Allotment Process.

Course Description:
The Bharata Mata School of Legal Studies (BSOLS) is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University. Total intake for the LL.M. course is 30. At present the BSOLS offers LL.M. Degree Course under three specialisations i.e., Maritime law(maximum intake: 15 students), Commercial Law (maximum intake: 15 students) and Criminal Law (maximum intake 15 students).
The vibrant academic environment at BSOLS provides the post-graduate students of law an enriching learning experience. The dynamic learning environment encourages students to put the theories they have learned through hands on problem solving by using a wide range of scholarly and comparative perspectives. The teaching-learning process often moves beyond class room lectures to frequent interaction with practitioners, experts working in policy domain as well as leading scholars from within and outside India. The academic activities are planned in such a way that an appropriate environment is created for students to hone their skills in presentation, research and writing. The dissertation in the final semester also helps the students to hone their scholarly skills which they can profitably use to launch academic careers.
