SHREE L. R. TIWARI COLLEGE OF LAW offers professional courses such as Bachelor of Legal Science (5 Year Course) and Bachelor of Legislative Law (3 Year Course). These courses cater to aspirants who wish to make a career in law, join legal bodies or contribute to civic administration. The college has a beautiful campus with state-of-art infrastructure. Students in the distant suburbs of Thane and Palghar regions had always faced obstacles seeking admission in colleges in the city, let alone the hardships of commuting. A high dropout rate had been observed in female students due to lack of facilities for higher education in their proximity. This lacuna was majorly overcome with the establishment of Shree L. R. Tiwari College of Law.

A candidate passing the H.S.C. (10+2) examination conduced by the Maharashtra state board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, with minimum 45% marks or any other examination recognized as equivalent there to by the university of Mumbai with the minimum prescribed marks is eligible for admission to the first year of pre law course.
The above percentage of marks shall be relaxed by 5% for the candidates belonging to reserved categories. |

B.L.S., LL.B stands for Bachelor of Legal Science & Bachelor of Legislative Law which is a five year integrated course in the field of law. One of the best college SLRTCL offers the five-year law course, which leads to the B.L.S., LL.B, is a ten-semester full-time programme. Pre-Law Courses are the first and second years of a five-year programme, i.e. the first to fourth semesters.
The Bachelor of Legal Science Degree (B.L.S.) is awarded to students in the Five Year Degree programme at the end of the third year (i.e. the sixth semester), and the LL.B Degree is awarded at the end of the fifth year (i.e. the tenth semester).

The matter of reservation for the candidates falling within the categories of S.C, S.T., O.V.C. etc. are in accordance with the relevant Government Resolutions issued by the state of Maharashtra.
The Prospectus and the Registration Forms will be available at the College Office. The Registration Form, duly filled in, should be submitted to the college within the prescribed time. The merit lists in all the categories viz. reserved, general etc. are prepared on the basis of the marks secured in the qualifying examination.

Course Description:

One of the best college SLRTCL offers the three-year LL.B programme is a full-time course with six semesters and practical training. The LL.B Degree is awarded at the end of the three-year course, i.e. after the sixth semester. Each semester will last five months, including the examination period.
A student who desires to take education in Law but does not wish to practice as an advocate is eligible for the LL.B (General) Degree at the end of two years.

SLRTCL has taken the initiative of commencing the LL.M. course, a post-graduate law course. This course has been started with a view to impart in-depth knowledge to students and specialize in multiple legal sub-streams thus enabling them to become great professionals in the field of law and legal affairs of the country. Although the duration of this course is 2 years, it may vary from institute to institute.
Few institutes do offer a 1-year course too. The completion of this course attracts many career opportunities in various sectors like Legal Consultants, Legal Writers, Legal Advisors, Solicitors, and Lawyers. Etc.
