LexQuest Online Certificate Course on Research Methodology

LexQuest is pleased to bring to you the first of its kind, Online Certificate Course on Research Methodology, which aims to make the student community, the professionals and the general public aware and well versed with the varied methods of Research, in the most comprehensible manner.

Duration of the Course: 2 Months

Now-a-days, Research is ubiquitous and an essential feature for disciplines such as law, public policy, language, literature, history and sociology, to name a few.

Whatever might be the subject, research has to be an active, diligent and systematic process of inquiry in order to discover, interpret or revise facts, events, behaviours and theories. This course is designed to introduce the candidates to the concepts of Research Methodology, in the period of two months, thereby easing them into the process of Academic and Non-Academic Writing.

Course Modules:
The course is divided into 5 modules.

    Meaning of Research, Purpose, Characteristics and Types of Research, Formulation of objectives, Formulation of Hypothesis, Types of Hypothesis, Ethical, legal, social and scientific issues in research, Research Methods Vs. Research Methodology.

  • Module 2: Sampling and Modes of Data Collection
    Sampling techniques, sample size, sampling / non-sampling errors, Observation Method, Interview Method, Questionnaires, Case Study Method, Processing and Analysis of Data, Statistics in Research, Types of Analysis, Interpretation of Data.

  • Module 3: Report Writing
    Writing of Research Proposal, Report and Research Paper: Meaning and types, Structure, Documentation: Footnotes and Bibliography, Editing the final draft, evaluating the final draft-Checklist for a good proposal / report / research paper.

  • Module 4: Models of Research
    Evolutive and Evaluative, Identificatory and Impact studies, Projective and Predictive, Collative, Historical, Comparative, Current trends in Research - Mono-disciplinary Research, Trans-disciplinary Research, Inter-disciplinary Research

  • Module 5: Research Guide
    Research Manual: A one stop solution to all your research woes. This will be your go-to-manual, whenever you are stuck with any research (which you most probably won't be, after going through this Manual). This interactive manual adopts a unique approach to make you learn and understand the intricacies of good research, as a skill. You need to read it for yourself, to know what we are talking about.
