GNLU Journal of Law, Development and Politics: Call for Papers
The GNLU Journal of Law, Development and Politics (GJLDP), is the first academic journal to look at the inter-disciplinary aspects between Law, Development and Politics, which are three entirely diverse yet convergent fields meriting greater in-depth research, discussion and analysis. We believe that it is the obligation of the academia to initiate such discussion and to analyze the various issues that are being faced in India and the world at large.
The Editorial Board of the Journal welcomes the submission of original articles, review, book reviews, comments and discussion within the aim and scope of the journal. Contributions may also be solicited by the editors. The Journal, like most academic publication, is peer-reviewed Bi-annual journal with ISSN No. 0975-0193.
Categories:
GJLDP invites Authors to submit manuscripts under the following heads:
- Article: Refers to a comprehensive and thorough analysis of issues related to the theme of the Journal. The Article submitted should deal with law, development; politics or issues related to these and is expected to be comprehensive and thorough. The word limit for articles is between 5,000 to 8,000 words.
- Commentaries: Refers to academic writing that analyses or is a critique of a recent case, piece of legislation, article or contemporary issues of law. The word limit for Commentaries is between 4,000 to 5,000 words.
- Book Review: Submission should not exceed 3,000 Words. Submission should include complete details of the books including ISBN No., Paper-back / hard bound and price.
- Discussion Letters: GJLDP encourages readers to comment on articles published in GJLDP. It also encourages readers to comment on published articles. All letters containing comments should have the writer's full name, postal address and affiliations. Submission for Discussion, Letters should not exceed 1,500 words.
Submission Guidelines:
- The paper submissions to the Editorial Board for publication in GNLU Journal of Law, Development and Politics should be an original work and conform to the norms of the Journal. While Author(s) are free to submit their manuscripts to multiple journals, the Authors must necessarily disclose this knowledge to the Editorial Board of GJLDP.
- The Author(s) must necessarily and immediately notify the Editorial Board of the GJLDP if their submitted manuscript has been confirmed to be published in the other publication(s), at which point it will be removed from consideration to be published by GJLDP.
- If an Author(s) accepts the offer to be published in the GJLDP, he or she must immediately withdraw the Manuscript from consideration at other publications and transfer the exclusive copyright to the GJLDP. (Waiver Form available on the website)
- The Author(s) bear sole responsibility for the accuracy of facts, opinions or views stated in the submitted Manuscript. In case of any gross plagiarism found in the contents of submitted manuscript, the Manuscript shall be deemed subject to rejection.
- The final discretion as to the acceptance of the Manuscripts and subsequent possible publication thereof rests with the Editorial Board of GNLU Journal of Law, Development and Politics and all decisions concerning the Manuscripts shall be final and binding on the Author(s).
Copyright:
The manuscripts published by the GNLU Journal of Law, Development and Politics are the Intellectual Property of the Journal. However, the use of published material is not prohibited for non-commercial purposes. Proper acknowledgement and intimation to the Editorial Board of GJLDP is required and will be highly appreciated.
Deadline:
The GJLDP accepts submissions of Manuscript for publication throughout the year but bi-annually. For each issue, only those articles, notes and comments submitted at least three months before the month of publication of an issue would be considered for the same. Submissions made after the date or month will be considered for subsequent issues. Manuscript accepted can take up to six months or even more to be published in the Journal. Papers with immediate relevance would be considered for early publication. This is matter of editorial judgement. The schedule of the publication month is as follows:
