Admission Notice 2011-12
The National Law School and Judicial Academy, Assam is a premier Law University established by the National Law School and Judicial Academy, Assam Act, 2009 and is the youngest member of the existing group of National Law Universities of India. The Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court is the Chancellor of the National Law School.
The University invites applications for five years integrated B.A. LL.B (Hons.) Programme for the academic year 2011-12, commencing from 1st August, 2011.
Eligibility:
Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 system) or equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate (those who have appeared for the examination in March/April, 2011, may also apply).
Age Limit:
Below 20 years as on 1st August, 2011 (23 years in case of SC/ST candidates).
Category-wise Seats:
General - 47, Scheduled Castes - 4, Scheduled Tribes (Plain) - 6, Scheduled Tribes (Hills) - 3, 25% of the total seats will be reserved for students from Assam.
Last Date for Receipt of Application: 6th June, 2011
Admissions will be strictly on merit through an all India entrance examination to be conducted at Bengaluru, Bhopal, Cuttack, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jorhat, Kolkata, New Delhi, Pune, Silchar and Tezpur on 19th June, 2011 (Sunday), from 2.00 PM to 4.00 PM. If sufficient number of applications are not received for a centre, the University reserved the right to cancel the said centre and shift the applicants of that center to another centre.
The Application Form will be available for downloading from the University website, www.nluassam.ac.in w.e.f. 12-May-2011.
Filled-in Application, Forms are to be sent along with a Demand Draft of Rs. 1,000/- (Rupees One Thousand Only) for General Candidates and Rs. 750/- (Rupees Seven Hundred Fifty Only) in case of SC and ST Candidates, drawn in favour of "The Registrar, National Law School and Judicial Academy, Assam" payable at Guwahati along with copies of requisite Caste Certificate.
Completed Application Forms must reach the Registrar, National Law School and Judicial Academy, Assam, by post/courier, on or before 6th June, 2011. Application received after the last date shall not be entertained. The University will not be responsible for any loss or delay in receiving applications.
