National Seminar on Social Transformation in India with special reference to Status of Vulnerable Groups: Issues and Challenges

H.S.N.C. Board's G.J. Advani Law College is going to organize the National Seminar on "Social Transformation in India with special reference to Status of Vulnerable Groups: Issues and Challenges".

Date: 12th March, 2016
Venue: G.J. Advani Law College, Barrister Hotchand, Gopaldas Advani Marg, Bandra (W), Mumbai

Objectives of the Seminar:

  • To converse the role of social transformation in our nation and its overall impact over the various aspects of vulnerable groups.
  • To deliberate on concept of vulnerable groups, their evolution and causes behind it.
  • To discuss the legal, social, and other basic rights of vulnerable groups.


  • Social transformation of women and children in present Indian scenario.
  • Discrimination of vulnerable groups with special reference to old age, refugees, scheduled castes, scheduled tribes and physically disabled: Issues and Challenges.
  • Various Vulnerable groups of 21st Century: causes and implications in Society.
  • Governmental policies, rights and affirmative action for the upliftment of vulnerable groups.
  • Socio-Cultural and political issues of Vulnerable Groups in Contemporary India and their Human Rights.
  • Prospects of Vulnerable Groups in Modern Globalized Era.
  • Any topic related to the theme.

Submission Guidelines:


  • The abstract must clearly indicate the title of the paper / author's name, Institution's name and email address.
  • The abstract should not exceed 300 words.

Full Length Research Paper:

  • The paper has to be typed in Times New Roman, font size 12 and 1.5 line spacing.
  • The paper should be a word file with 1 & 1/2" margin on the left and 1" margin on the right.
  • The paper should not exceed 2,000 words.
  • Manuscript should not exceed 6 pages including graphs, tables and appendices.
  • The cover page of the manuscript must contain the title of the paper, author's name, mailing address, e-mail address and acknowledgements, if any.
  • The cover page should not be a part of the paper so as to facilitate peer review of the paper
  • References should be given at the end of the paper and should be as per the APA style.
  • All notes must be serially numbered and given at the bottom of the page as footnotes.
  • In case of website references, the entire URL should be provided by the authors.
  • There should be maximum two tables in the paper, if any.
  • The soft copy of the full length research paper should be sent to following email id:

Selected Research Papers will be published in a Research Journal with ISSN Number.

Registration Fees:

  • Academicians / Professionals / Research Scholars / Paper Presenters: Rs. 800/-
  • Participants / Students: Rs. 400/-

Payment shall be made by Demand Draft drawn in favor of "The Principal, G.J. Advani Law College" payable at Mumbai. In case of more than one author, each will have to make separate payment of registration fee.

Accommodation facility will be provided on advance request and additional payment has to be made for the same.
