National Securities Law Moot Court Competition 2015
The Centre for Law and Development, National University of Advanced Legal Studies, Kochi is going to organize the National Securities Law Moot Court Competition 2015.
Date: 25th - 27th September, 2015
Venue: NUALS Campus, Kalamassery, Kochi, Kerala
Eligibility:
- The competition shall be open for students who are pursuing three or five-year LL.B. Degree Course in Universities / Colleges / Law Departments in India.
Team Composition:
- Only one team from each participating institution shall be registered for the competition.
- Each team shall consist of a minimum of two members and a maximum of three members. This team composition cannot be altered under any circumstances.
- Every team shall consist of two speakers and one researcher. No observer / additional member can be part of a team in any capacity. If any additional member is accompanying the team, he / she will not be allowed to sit and observe the oral rounds, will not be provided accommodation / food and will not be given a certificate by the organisers under any circumstances whatsoever.
Registration:
- Participation in the Competition is restricted to 14 Teams on a first-come-first-serve basis. Teams are required to carefully comply with the registration formalities given below. The organisers, however, reserve the right to increase the number of participating teams.
- Institutions / Teams interested in participating in the Competition will have to make an initial 'Provisional Registration'. The Provisional Registration shall be done by emailing the scanned copy of the Provisional Registration Form along with the Scanned Copy of a Demand Draft for Rs. 3,000/, drawn in favour of "The Registrar, The National University of Advanced Legal Studies" at cld@nuals.ac.in. The subject of the e-mail shall be "Provisional Registration".
- The priority of the teams shall be determined in accordance with the date and time of receipt of the email communication containing the scanned copies of the Provisional Registration Form and Demand Draft.
- The last date for Provisional Registration is 23:59 hrs on 18th August, 2015.
- The Organising Committee shall give a response to the provisional registration and reply to all the eligible teams ordinarily within 24 hours.
- A waiting list of teams which have emailed the provisional registration form shall also be maintained so that they may be given an opportunity to participate in the competition if any of the first 14 teams fail to complete the other registration formalities.
- The teams which have been granted provisional registration shall then email a scanned copy of the Final Registration Forms at cld@nuals.ac.in on a date not later than 23rd August, 2015.
- The Hard Copy of the Registration Forms and Demand Draft shall be despatched so as to reach the following address on a date not later than 28th August, 2015:

- If a team which has been granted provisional registration fails to email the scanned copy of the Final Registration Form within 23rd August, 2015 their Provisional Registration shall stand cancelled and a chance shall be granted to the teams in the waiting list in the order of their position in the waiting list.
- If a team which has dispatched the hard copy of the Demand Draft fails to turn up for the competition the registration fee shall not be refunded.
Hospitality:
- Accommodation will be provided to all the teams from 6 a.m. on 25th September, 2015 till 9 a.m. on 28th September, 2015.
- For any additional member(s) of any team the host university will not be responsible for his / her accommodation.
- Teams arriving before 25th September, 2015 (6 a.m.) and staying after 28th September, 2015 (9 a.m.) will have to arrange for their accommodation themselves.
- Organisers shall arrange for pick-up from nearest bus station / railway station / airport on request and on receipt of advance travel schedule. No conveyance shall be provided under any circumstance for dropping any team to the bus station / railway station / airport. If the members of a team arrive separately the pick-up facility shall be made available only once for the team.
- Conveyance will be provided to all the teams to and from the venue of the competition to the place of accommodation.
- Food shall be provided from the evening tea of 25th September, 2015 till the lunch of 27th September, 2015.
