The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences - Admission 2015
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to Ph. D / M. Phil Degree at West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences.
Course offered:
Eligibility for Ph.D.:
Any candidate who satisfies the following conditions is eligible to seek registration for Ph.D. in the University upon application for provisional registration.
- The candidate shall have LL.M degree or any Masters degree having the potentiality of interdisciplinary study with law from any University recognized by UGC or equivalent LL.M or Masters Degree of foreign University with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent CGPA. However, this condition is relaxed to 50% in case of candidates belonging to SC and ST.
- Candidates who have qualified for UGC/SLET/SET/JRF fellowships are exempted from Entrance Test.
- Candidates with M. Phil degree from any recognized University are exempted from Entrance Test.
Eligibility for M. Phil:
Any candidate who satisfies the following conditions is eligible to seek registration for Ph.D. in the University upon application for provisional registration.

Entrance Test:
- Admission to Ph.D shall be through an Entrance test followed by an interview.
- Foreign candidates who have LL.M. degree from a foreign university or Indian university with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) shall be exempted from Entrance Test. But they shall submit a research proposal to the satisfaction of the Doctoral Committee.
Ph. D / M. Phil Fees:
Registration fees of Rs. 15,000 (Non-refundable) (at the time of registration) plus annual fees of Rs. 20,000 per annum (Non-refundable)
