Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission at Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University for the academic year 2015-16.

Eligibility:
B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) - 5 Year Programme:
A candidate should have passed Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) -or- its equivalent examination recognized by the Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, Chennai and should have secured not less than 70% of the total marks in the aggregate of all the subjects.
The candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe communities should have secured not less than 60% of the total marks in the aggregate of all subjects.
In case of students who make a claim under the Non-Resident Indians (NRI) category, they should have secured not less than 60% in the qualifying examination.
Age:
A candidate should not have completed 21 years of age as on 1st June, 2015, (i.e. should have been born on or after 01.06.1994). For candidates belonging to SC/ST Communities, there is No Age Limit.
B.Com. LL.B. (Hons.) - 5 Year Programme:
Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) with Commerce group subjects -or- equivalent examination with relevant subjects alone are eligible to apply. They should have secured not less than 70% of the total marks in the aggregate of all the subjects.
The candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe communities should have secured not less than 60% of the total marks in the aggregate of all subjects.
In case of students, who make a claim under the Non-Resident Indian (NRI) category, they should have secured not less than 60% in the qualifying examination.
Age:

B.C.A. LL.B.(Hons.) - 5 Year Programme:
Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) -or- equivalent examination with Computer Science subject alone are eligible to apply. They should have secured not less than 70% of the total marks in the aggregate of all the subjects.
The candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe communities should have secured not less than 60% of the total marks in the aggregate of all subjects.
In case of students, who make a claim under the Non-Resident Indian (NRI) category, they should have secured not less than 60% in the qualifying examination.
Age:

LL.B.(Hons.) - 3 Year Programme:
The candidates should have passed any degree (B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com. / B.B.A / B.E. / B. Tech. / M.B.B.S. / B.Pharm / other graduates in general) and should have secured not less than 60% of the total marks in the aggregate.
The candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe communities should have secured not less than 55% of the total marks in the aggregate of all subjects.
Non-Resident Indian (NRI) candidate should have secured a minimum of 55% of the total marks in the aggregate of all subjects.
Note: The applicants who have completed 10+2 or graduation / post graduation through Open University system directly without having any basic qualification are not eligible.
Employed candidates are not eligible to apply.
Age:
There is No Age Limit for 3 year Hons. Degree Course
LL.M - 2 Year Programme:
The general eligibility condition for admission to Masters Programme is through formal education as per the UGC Regulations 2001.
Candidates who have successfully completed a three year / five year under-graduate degree course in Law conducted by the University or equivalent thereto shall be eligible for admission to a Masters Degree programme in any of the LL.M. courses. Candidate should have obtained a minimum of 45% of marks under New Regulations (40% under Old Regulations). Candidates who are awaiting results may also apply.
Master of Corporate Laws (M.C.L.):
Any graduate who has obtained a degree from a recognized University is eligible to join the Post Graduate programme under Distance Education.
Post Graduate Diploma:
Any graduate who has obtained a degree from a recognized University is eligible to join the Diploma programme under Distance Education.
Certificate Course:
Any person who has successfully completed the Higher Secondary Examinations (10+2 Examinations) conducted in the State of Tamil Nadu or any other examination accepted as equivalent thereto.
NRI:
Candidates seeking admission under NRI quota to all 5 year Honours Degree Courses and 3 year LL.B.(Hons.) Degree Course can obtain the application meant for NRI Quota from The Registrar, The Tamil Nadu Dr.Ambedkar Law University, Chennai in person, on payment of the cost of application of US $200 for each course, by way of Demand Draft.

Mode of Payment of Application Processing Fee:
The candidates shall remit the prescribed application processing fee in any branch of
- Indian Bank through remittance challan which may be downloaded from the University website or obtained from any one of the affiliated Government Law Colleges.
- The candidates may obtain the application form (in person) on submission of the remittance challan from the University premises only.
- Candidates who intend to receive the application through POST should send a requisition letter along with a remittance challan.
- Application processing fee paid through Cash / Demand Draft / Money Order / Cheque / Bank Pay Order etc., will not be accepted.
