Seminar on "Leveraging Intellectual Property Rights for a Creative and Innovative India"
On the occasion of World IP Day, Tamil Nadu Technology Development and Promotion Center of Confederation of Indian Industry, Chennai is organizing a Seminar on "Leveraging Intellectual Property Rights for a Creative and Innovative India". The United Kingdom Intellectual Property Office, IP Association of South India (IPASI) and Lexis Nexis are our Partners for the Seminar.

The objective of the Session is aligned with the Government of India's campaign on Intellectual Property and Innovation. The sessions would discuss about utilizing Intellectual assets for the growth of a firm as well as the nation and to highlight the opportunities that exist today for better progression of IP. The State and Central Government has taken vital steps on creation and protection of IP, which is evident from the draft IPR Policy. The Celebrations would be a part of the greater concept of making India - an Innovative and Creative Country.
The celebrations would also feature the release of CII - TNTDPC "Report on IPR Mapping Landscape of Tamil Nadu" funded by UK IPO for presentation to Government of Tamil Nadu. The report aims to map the level of IPR awareness in the State of Tamil Nadu. The report along with draft recommendations would be presented to the State Government of Tamil Nadu.
