International Conference on Space Law
Kerala Law Academy and the Center for Advanced Legal Studies & Research (CALSAR) are jointly organizing the International Conference on Space Law
Date: 9th - 11th April, 2015
Venue: Kerala Law Academy Campus, Trivandrum
Kerala Law Academy, a seat of excellence in legal education, consultancy and research located in Trivandrum, capital city of Kerala along with its research arm, the Centre for Advanced Legal Studies & Research (CALSAR), promotes research and advocacy in various cutting edge areas of legal scholarship.
The department of public international law, established to advance state of art scholarship in various realms of the subject periodically conducts various national and international conferences and publishes newsletters and articles through its In- house Journal, the Academy Law Review. In continuation of its academic pursuit, the department has planned to organize a two day International Conference titled "Changing Perspectives on Law of Outer Space - Contemporary challenges, opportunities and way forward".
The conference envisages as a focal point for reflecting on multifarious challenges as well as opportunities thrown-up by 'coming of the age' of space technology. It is planned as a comprehensive deliberation platform with an interdisciplinary approach which may enable a better understanding of the core issues pertaining to this intellectually stimulating but relatively amorphous legal discipline. It is hoped that the proceedings will incubate new ideas for uniting positive changes on law and policy thereby laying down an agenda for promoting and protecting global public interest in the realm of outer space.
We expect to attract participation from students, research scholars, academicians, and all other interested stake holders including Governmental and Non-Governmental institution, private entities, etc. Kerala law academy invites you all to join the odyssey to this exciting frontier realm of law.
