All India Bar Examination (AIBE) VIII postponed to 24th May, 2015

The All India Bar Examination intended to test an advocate's ability to practice the profession of law in India. The All India Bar Examination shall be mandatory for all law students graduating from the academic year 2015-2016 onwards. Candidates may apply to appear for the All India Bar Examination only after enrolling as an advocate under Section 24 of the Advocates Act, 1961 and will have to submit suitable proof of such enrolment along with the application form for the All India Bar Examination.

As per the Council decision, the examination date for AIBE-VIII has been postponed to 24th May, 2015 and therefore the registration date has also been extended.

Application Form:
Candidates needs to register and apply online at www.allindiabarexamination.com/registration.aspx

Mode of Application:

  • There is only one mode of application i.e. online which can be accessed by a candidate after registering on the AIBE website by creating a login account The Online Application Form can be submitted only between 20th December, 2014 and 28th April, 2015 (11:59 p.m.) The submitted Online Registration Form and other details will be available and accessible in the login account of the candidate
  • No copies of the filled in Online Application Form or uploaded certificates/documents need to be sent to the BCI Office for candidates applying for AIBE-VII onwards
  • The Hall-Ticket/Admit Card should be Accessed/Downloaded by the candidate from the personal login account. The candidate is required to take the printout of the Hall-Ticket / Admit Card to the Examination Hall.
  • Candidates applying must visit and carefully read the instructions given on the following link "Instructions & Conditions"
  • Incomplete application or application in any mode other than online or application after the last date and time shall not be entertained. It shall be the obligation of the candidate to fill the Online Application Form in a timely manner and the Bar Council of India shall not be responsible for the shortcomings in the application process under any circumstances
  • The registration helpline numbers 0120-4253515/16/17/18 would be available from Monday to Saturday from 09.00 AM to 06.00 PM only. Our executives will help the candidates for any difficulty faced during registration process. No general queries would be entertained on these numbers.
  • All general queries about the exam should be sent on aibe.bci@gmail.com Kindly mention your application number for queries related to previous bar exams along with your contact number
  • Candidates are requested to provide their own working mobile numbers during registration as the OTP (One Time Password) would be sent to them to complete the registration process. All other general communication and Result would also be sent on the same registered mobile number. A mobile number once registered would not be changed. Kindly do not use a single mobile number for more than one registration.

Exam Fees:
Every candidate (be it fresh or repeat candidate) is required to pay Examination Fee of Rs. 2500/- plus Rs. 60/- Bank Charges Payments must be made through challan generated after 24 hrs of registration in any Branch of SBI.

Payment made through any other form (like Demand Draft, online payment, Cheque etc) would not be accepted nor shall any request of its refund be entertained by BCI. Fee once paid against any application number is final; any request for refund or to adjust the fee against any another application number will not be entertained (Payment once made is non-refundable in any circumstances)

In case of any extension/alteration of examination date, any request for refund/adjustment of fee will not be entertained. In cases, where candidates want another application form because of any reason, they have to submit the fresh fee against the new application number

Online Link Activation date for Admit Card verification process for Online and Offline Application

2nd May, 2015

Last date of correction of Admit Cards for Online and Offline Application

5th May, 2015

Final online release of Admit Cards for Online and Offline application

16th May, 2015

The Bar Council reserves the right to extend the said examination date in case of unavoidable circumstances. In that case, any request for refund/adjustment of fee shall not be entertained.
