The University of Burdwan, Admission Notification for the 3-year LL.B
Applications in prescribed form, obtainable on and from 12.01.2011 between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on all working days, at the University Sales Counter, Rajbati, Burdwan, Law College, Durgapur, G T Road, Rajbandh, Durgapur, Burdwan-713212, Bengal Law College, Doranda, Sriniketan Bypass, Birbhum -731236, Durgapur Institute of Legal Studies, City Centre, Durgapur, Burdwan-713208 (and not by post) on payment of Rs. 100/- in cash and on production of original/attested Xerox copy of mark-sheet of the relevant last degree examination are invited to fill up few vacant seats for admission to the 3-year LL.B. Course of Studies to be imparted on self-financing basis at the private Law Colleges mentioned above for the academic session 2011-2013.
Application forms and Information Brochure may also be down loaded from the University Website: Candidates obtaining the form from the website must enclose a demand draft of Rs.100/- issued in favour of "Finance Officer, The University of Burdwan" payable at Burdwan at the time of submitting the same. At the time of submission of application form, each candidate must deposit Rs.150/- in cash at the University Cash Counter as admission test fee. They are also advised to bring with them photocopies of all original credentials & two copies of attested passport size self-photograph. The selection for admission to the Course will be made through joint entrance test to be held on 29.01.2011 at 12 noon at the Burdwan University Campus, Golapbag, Burdwan.
Eligibility:
A candidate is eligible to apply for admission into the course if he/she secures minimum 45% marks in aggregate in case of General category and 40% marks in aggregate in case of SC and ST categories at the Bachelor's Degree examination in 10+ 2 + 3 pattern.
Age:
Maximum age of a candidate, seeking admission into the course, is limited to 30 years in case of General Category and 35 years in case of SC, ST and Other Backward Communities as on 1st January, 2011.
