Christ University - Admission 2011

Christ University, formerly Christ College, was an Autonomous institution since 2005. Christ College was reaccredited with an A+ by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) for quality education in 2005. It has also been recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) as an institution with "Potential for Excellence".

Applications for all Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes will be available in the following modes from December 8, 2010 onwards.

Eligiblity Criteria:
A pass in Class 12 (10+2)/ PUC or equivalent with a minimum of 45% marks at the final examination is the minimum eligibility for appearing for SLCU Law Entrance Examination. The candidates should also be below the age of 20 years as on July 01, 2011.

Note: Candidates must note that if selected, admission is provisional and subject to University rules - Any documents that are pending to be submitted to Office of Admissions, Christ University, should be submitted on or before July 15, 2011. Failing to submit the pending documents will be treated as unsuccessful in the qualifying exam and admission will be terminated from Christ University.

1. Candidates must report for the above selection process at the allotted time as stipulated in the E-Admit Card.
2. Those candidates not reaching the venue at the allotted time will not be permitted to take part in the selection process.
3. The candidates are requested to start early to avoid traffic congestions.
4. Selection Process results will be intimated on via the University website.
5. All candidates are requested to prepare for a Micro Presentation (Extempore) as part of the Selection Process during the Personal Interview.
6. Request for change in Selection Process dates will not be entertained.
7. Candidates have to access their E-Admit Card from the link "Current Status of Online Application" from our website and print the same.

To fill in the application form, you must have:
A copy of the remitted SBI Application Fee Challan of Rs 1000/- (Non- refundable) from any Core Bankin Branch of State Bank of India, a valid email ID for further communication, copy of statement of marks and certificates of Class 10, Class 11 or 12 (Whichever is available), scanned copy of photo, (If available).

Kindly print and sign the application after filling in further details on the printed application form. Candidates need to send the following supporting documents in an A4 size Envelope:

One Copy of the SBI Application Fee paid Challan, 2 passport size (Photo size of 35mm x 45 mm with White background - Standard Indian Passport Format Only) and 2 Stamp Size photographs. (Write your name and application number behind the photographs), the filled-in printed application form duly signed by the parent/guardian and the candidate, copy of Statement of marks of Class 10, Class 11 or Class 12 (Whichever is available), copy of Transfer Certificates from last qualified Institution (If available), copy of Migration Certificates for candidates from outside of Karnataka (If available), copy Passport and Visa Page (If available) if from Outside India 10.

The application and supporting documents should reach the Office of Admissions within 7 days or on or before April 25, 2011.

Important Dates for Christ 2011:

The date of Selection Process will be assigned and updated on the University website after processing the application. The candidate must login by entering his application number and Date of Birth on "Current Status of Online Application" given in our home page or in the preferred program page.

The candidate will have to appear for the Selection Process at the allotted date and time mentioned on the E- Admit card with the following original documents:

• The Selection Process E-Admit Card
• A valid Photo ID (Driving License/Passport/Electoral ID)
• 2 passport size (Photo size of 35mm x 45 mm with White background - Standard Indian Passport Format Only) and 2 Stamp Size photographs. Write your name and application number behind the photographs (No Photocopy required)
• Statement of marks of Class 10, Class11/Class 12 (Whichever is available)
• Passport and Visa Page if from Outside India.
• Transfer Certificates and Migration Certificates for candidates from outside Karnataka (If available)
• One Copy of the SBI Application Fee Challan.
• Copy of the filled-in printed application form duly signed by the parent/guardian and the candidate.

The selected candidates must remit the annual fee at the South Indian Bank, Christ University main Campus Branch, on collecting the fee challan from the Office of Admissions, Ground Floor, Central Block, Christ University Main Campus. Else, the offer of admission will stand cancelled.

It is to be noted that though the fee is fixed for five years, there may be a periodic nominal increase to meet the rise in costs.
The date of commencement of the academic Year 2011 - 2012 will be June 13, 2011.
