- B.Com LL.B (Hons.) with emphasis in Taxation Law
- BBA LL.B (Hons.) with emphasis in Corporate Laws
- B.Tech Energy Technology + LL.B (Hons.) with Specialization in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)
- B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering + LL.B (Hons.) with Specialization in Cyber Law
- LL.M with specialization in Energy Laws
The College of Legal Studies (CoLS) is a constituent college of UPES. It brings to you highly integrated under-graduate programs that are aimed at creating legal and techno-legal professionals who specialize in Corporate and Energy Laws, besides IPR and Cyber Laws. All programs offered by the UPES College of Legal Studies are approved by the Bar Council of India". The integrated programs offered by CoLS are the first of its kind in South Asia.
Established in 2007, College of Legal Studies (CoLS) at UPES has become an institute of repute in a short span of time. CoLS offers 4 undergraduate programs which provide a wide range of legal studies that are truly innovative. Apart from regular Law programs, the university also presents two integrated programs of B. Tech with Law degree program along with the specialization IPR and cyber laws.
B.A LL.B (Hons.) with emphasis in Energy Laws (5 Years):
B.A LL.B (Hons.) with Specialization in Energy Laws program has been prepared with the purpose of creating dedicated professionals who are well trained in legal framework and contractual requirements for energy sector companies.
Eligibility:
- Minimum 50% Marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th & 12th)
Admission Criteria:
Examination pathway - LL.B admissions through UL-SAT (upto 80% of seats). UPES Legal Studies Aptitude Test (UL-SAT) followed by GD and PI.
B.Com LL.B (Hons.) with emphasis in Taxation Law (5 Years):
Law and economics run parallel when it comes to trade and commerce. B.Com + LL.B with specialization in Taxation Law is a multidisciplinary program that brings together two important study areas Law and Economics.
Eligibility:
- Minimum 50% Marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th & 12th).
- Class 12th Science or Commerce stream only.
Admission Criteria:
Examination pathway - LL.B admissions through UL-SAT (upto 80% of seats). UPES Legal Studies Aptitude Test (UL-SAT) followed by GD and PI.
BBA LL.B (Hons.) with emphasis in Corporate Laws (5 Years):
The objective of BBA LLB (Hons.) with specialization in Corporate Laws program is to create a new race of Corporate Lawyers who would not only understand the intricacies of business but also be equally well-versed in the nuances of Corporate Laws and Regulatory Affairs.
Eligibility:
- Minimum 50% Marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th & 12th)
Admission Criteria:
Examination pathway - LL.B admissions through UL-SAT (upto 80% of seats). UPES Legal Studies Aptitude Test (UL-SAT) followed by GD and PI.
B.Tech Energy Technology + LL.B (Hons.) with Specialization in Intellectual Property Rights (6 Years):
B.Tech Energy Technology + LLB with specialization in Intellectual Property Rights program is aimed towards developing competent legal professionals who are aware of the intricacies of legal matters pertaining IPR in Energy and allied sectors.
Eligibility:
- Minimum 50% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th 12th).
- Minimum 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics at Senior Secondary level also mandatory.
Admission Criteria:
Examination pathway - B.TECH admissions through UPESEAT (upto 80% of seats). UPES Engineering Aptitude Test (UPESEAT) followed by Centralized Counseling. Final Selection list will be declared after the GD and PI.
B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering + LL.B (Hons.) with Specialization in Cyber Law (6 Years):
The objective of B.Tech Computer Science Engineering + LLB (Hons.) with specialization in Cyber Law program is to develop a new segment of legal professionals who would carry profound knowledge of World Wide Web and its laws pertaining to it.
Eligibility:
- Minimum 50% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th 12th).
- Minimum 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics at Senior Secondary level also mandatory.
Admission Criteria:
Examination pathway - B.TECH admissions through UPESEAT (upto 80% of seats). UPES Engineering Aptitude Test (UPESEAT) followed by Centralized Counseling. Final Selection list will be declared after the GD and PI.
LL.M with specialization in Energy Laws (1 Year):
LLM with specialization in Energy Laws program is focused on the legal aspects pertinent to the Energy sector and aimed at developing competent legal practitioners carrying expertise in the field of energy law and well-versed with the knowledge on national and international regulatory frame work of energy business.
Eligibility:
- LLB + 1 year experience as a Corporate lawyer or Practicing lawyer.
- Minimum 50 % Marks at Higher & Secondary Level (10th & 12th) and LLB Degree
