NPAC International Conference on Strengthening Arbitration in India
The Nani Palkhivala Arbitration Centre (NPAC), was founded by Palkhivala foundation to provide facilities for Institutional Arbitration and to foster the growth and development of arbitral law. The purpose of establishing the Centre is to provide quick, efficient and cost effective arbitration services, to disseminate and guide the development and growth information relating to Arbitration.

Aim & Objective:
Heightened economic activity and interaction worldwide has lead to great demand for dispute redressal processes that are efficient, quick and affordable. Institutional Arbitration provides an answer to these demands. Many companies have adopted the Dispute Resolution clauses of arbitration institutions in their contracts. One of the goals of
NPAC is to promote institutional arbitration. In this regard, institutional rules are made available to parties. NPAC has a panel of arbitrators who are outstanding persons of eminence representing the Bar, Commerce, Education, Trade & Industry. They include retired judges of various High Courts, retired Civil Servants, Chartered Engineers, Chartered Accountants. The growth of arbitration is brought to limelight through various conferences conducted on alternate dispute resolution. An international conference on Arbitration is held annually.
The five conferences held in the last few years, at Chennai, Coimbatore, Bangalore, Mumbai and New Delhi were well received by the international and Indian legal community. The conference combines interactive lectures with analysis of actual cases and will create an awareness on this emerging field. It also aims to explore and develop the new perspectives in this area by involving eminent practitioners across the globe.
