International Conference on Comparative Law & Development

Law centre-I, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi invites you to take part in the International Conference on Comparative Law and Development.

Venue: Conference Hall, Law Centre-I, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi

The Two Days International Conference on Comparative Law and Development is a multi-disciplinary international conference touching upon a very broad spectrum of themes. The aim of this conference is to bring together international faculty, policy makers and others specialists with an interest in issues related to law and development, the challenges of today and the potential solutions.

Tentative Themes:

  • Law and Development social, economic, political
  • Law and development Women & Child
  • Innovative legal Policy & Development Scenarios
  • Role of Judiciary in National Development
  • Human Rights, Social Justice and New Challenges
  • Globalization, Social Change and Law
  • Health care and law in third world geographical regions
  • Law and Environmental Protection Challenges

Above list is tentative and not exhaustive. Innovative and good papers found relevant in the contemporary legal scenario, even not on stated themes shall be accepted.

Call for Papers:
Papers introductory in nature would not be entertained. Paper presentation is not necessary for participation. Research Papers focusing on developments post 2009 are invited on any of the themes.   • The deadline for abstract is 1st March, 2014.
  • The deadline for full paper is 10th March 2014

Acceptance of the abstract would be intimated in 3 clear days.

The abstracts should not exceed 300 words (3 small paras). It should indicate:

  1. Title of Paper
  2. Presenter's brief description name, current designation, educational qualification, professional status and experience in 100 words only.

The accepted papers would be given in 10-15 minute time capsule and no more.

Guidelines for Paper Submission: (applicable to candidates whose abstracts are accepted)

  1. The paper should consist of not more than 7000 words, inclusive of footnotes.
  2. Font 'Times New Roman'; Size 12 for Text, 10 for footnotes
  3. Line spacing 1.5 for text and single for footnotes
  4. Microsoft Word Document Format
  5. Author's Title & Name, University/Organization, Paper Title and Email Address to be stated clearly on the cover page of the paper.

Full Papers to be sent to with cc to by March 10, 2014, 2300 hrs IST
