The Government of India has invited suggestions from ASSOCHAM on tax issues in real estate sector. The Government is keen to address the issues hampering the growth of the Real Estate sector so that India could emerge as a preferred destination for investments. There are many important tax related issues in real estate sector.
The Indian Real Estate Sector operates under multiple regulations and number of taxes are levied on real estate transactions. Besides, the rates of raw materials such as cement and steel are different across cities. Hence, there is a need to ensure a fair system of taxation. The real estate industry cannot sustain growth in isolation. It requires supporting regulatory and tax structure.
Therefore, in view of the various tax related issues in Real Estate Sector, ASSOCHAM is organizing an Interactive Seminar on "Tax Issues in Real Estate Sector"
