All India Bar Exam (AIBE 5) results declared
The results for the All India Bar Exam (AIBE) are now available on the Bar Council of India (BCI) official website (http://www.allindiabarexamination.com/aibe5_result.aspx)
According to BCI, the pass percentage across the board is 79 per cent. Of the 21,668 candidates who took the bar exam only 17,052 candidates have managed to clear the exam.
West Bengal has secured the highest pass percentage of 95.65 followed by Jammu & Kashmir with 93.08 per cent and Assam with 92.06 per cent.
Andhra Pradesh is the worst performing state with a pass percentage of 55.92 followed by Jharkhand with 63 per cent and Karnataka with 64.3 per cent.
The highest number of candidates who took the bar exam are from Maharashtra and Goa (3,315 candidates with a pass percentage of 82.9).
The fifth AIBE was held in 38 cities across the country. The exam, which was initially scheduled for 14th July, had been postponed to 25th August citing the convenience of candidates enrolling in June and July.
