Remembering S.P. Sathe Legal Conclave 2013
Professor S.P. Sathe Foundation, set up by the Indian Law Society organizes three events annually at ILS Law College, Pune on a particular theme to commemorate the contribution of Professor S.P. Sathe to Indian Jurisprudence and Social Action and to encourage academic pursuit of law students. The events are a National Moot Court Competition, a Memorial Lecture and a Conference.

The theme for this year's remembering S.P. Sathe Legal Conclave, is focused on different facets of Competition and Antitrust laws.
The present edition of the Conference will feature panel discussion among top notch industry experts, practitioners and stellar academics. Apart from the panel discussion top two research papers authored on each of the discussion tracks will be published as part of the conference compendium and will also be published in the forthcoming volume of the ILS Law Review.
The Remembering S.P. Sathe Legal Conclave will focus on the following facets of competition law and policy:
- Discussion Track - I: Economics of Competition Law
- Discussion Track - II: International Merger Control
- Discussion Track - III: Challenges before Adjudicating Authority
- Discussion Track - IV: Competition Law and Intellectual Property Laws
- Discussion Track - V: Mitigation of Sectoral Regulatory Conflicts
Students of the five-year law course, three-year law course, or others pursuing a professional degree both under-graduate and post-graduate courses from any recognized University/College in India and abroad are eligible to author research papers on any of the 5 discussion tracks.
Students are free to author the research papers individually; a joint entry of maximum 2 students is permitted. The word limit for the research paper is 7500 words including footnotes and bibliography. The submissions must be typewritten and double spaced on A4 sized paper with consecutively numbered pages. The mode of citation is Harvard Bluebook of Citation, 19th Edition.
Students interested in submitting research papers are required to send in an abstract of their research papers in not more than 500 words by no later than 4th February, 2013 to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Top 2 abstracts in each discussion track will be selected to be published in the journal and the authors of the selected abstracts are required to send their completed research paper by 16th February, 2013.
