The IALDLARL & IJOLDLAR International Legislative Drafting Moot Competition 2013 [India Chapter]
The IALDLARL & IJOLDLAR International Legislative Drafting Moot is a competition for law students and law schools, for which law students from all countries are eligible. This notification is meant for law students and law schools in India. The Moot involves the drafting of a model national legislation and legislative advocacy for implementing the model legislation based on the United Nations (UN) Anti-Money Laundering and International Convention for the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism.
- The teams are made up of two legislative drafting law students and a coach who may be a law lecturer or a member of staff of the legislative drafting office where the law school is situated.
- Since the final rounds of the competition will be held in London, in September 2013, the team should preferably be from students of First year to Fourth Year.
The panel of judges for the entire competition consists of three judges. A sitting/retired judge, a Parliamentary Counsel and a Member of the Academia.
Each participating teams shall pay a fee of Rs. 8000/- (Rupees Eight Thousand only), payable in the form of demand draft favouring "KIIT UNIVERSITY" at the time of submission of the draft of its model legislation. A scanned copy of the demand draft is to be submitted along with the ecopy of the draft of model legislation.
An ecopy of the model legislation, together with a scanned copy of the demand draft of Rs. 8000/- (Rupees Eight Thousand only), payable in favour "KIIT UNIVERSITY", must reach the following address: email@example.com, by 6:00pm (1800hrs.IST) on 12th February, 2013.
