NLC Lex Sollemnis: A Law Fest
Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University New Law College, Pune in association with Legal Era is pleased to invite you to the "NLC LEX SOLLEMNIS", a law fest which will comprise of three competitions (1) Justice P.N. Bhagwati 3rd International Moot Court Competition on Human Rights, (2) National Model Directors' Meet For Law Students and (3) Law Quiz.

Justice P.N. Bhagwati 3rd International Moot Court Competition on Human Rights

Hon. Mr. Justice P.N. Bhagwati is one of our eminent judges of the Supreme Court and retired Chief Justice of Supreme Court of India. He is the authority in law and in particular on Human Rights in International Law.
All law schools, law faculties, and institutions with international law related degree programs are eligible to participate in the Competition. The number of participant teams shall be limited. The preference to teams shall be given in order of their registration.
A person may be a Team Member if he or she:
- is pursuing a law degree or an international law-related degree;
- is enrolled at an eligible institution as a full-time student during the relevant Competition Year and plans to participate in the Competition on behalf of that institution;
- has not engaged in the practice of law in any jurisdiction after graduating from any type of law degree program; and
- is not pursuing any post-graduate degree programme from any university or institution.
The last date for registration will be 20th January, 2013.
National Model Directors' Meet for Law Students

Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University New Law College, Pune takes pride in pioneering first of its kind academic legal event in the form of National Model Directors' Meet for Law Students that will break new grounds. National Model Directors' Meet the Law Quiz will be a part of NLC LEX SOLLEMNIS.
This aims to achieve excellence in legal education by providing a unique format of the Competition that will create new avenues to understand the pros and cons of corporate and company law directly from the horse's mouth.
This competition will bless the students with a unique opportunity to hone their written and argumentative skills in the domain of corporate and company laws.
The Competition will seek participation from all top tier law schools in the country and the law schools need to send a team of 5 to 7 students for National Model Directors' Meet for Law Students. There is no registration fee and food and accommodation facilities shall be provided by the institute. The participants only have to bear the travel costs.
The last date for registration will be 20th January, 2013.
Law Quiz
Date: 17th March, 2013
- All teams (from India) participating in Justice PN Bhagwati 3rd International Moot Court Competition on Human Rights, 2013 and National Model Directors' Meet for Law Students (NMDM) shall compulsorily participate in the Law Quiz.
- Participation is for 25 teams only i.e. top 18 teams, based on their scores, from preliminary rounds of Justice PN Bhagwati 3rd International Moot Court Competition on Human Rights, 2 losing teams from semi-final rounds and all 5 teams of National Model Directors' Meet for Law Students (NMDM).
- The teams qualifying for Final round of Justice P.N. Bhagwati 3rd International Moot Court Competition shall not be eligible to participate in Quiz Competition.
Team Composition:
- Law Quiz is a part of NLC LEX SOLLEMNIS (a law festival) organized by Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University New Law College, Pune.
- Each team for the Law Quiz shall comprise of two members out of which one shall be the official researcher of the mooting team which participated in Justice P.N.Bhagwati 3rd International Moot Court Competition.
- Participation of official researcher is compulsory in the Law Quiz.
- Certificate of Participation shall be provided to every participant
